About Ms. Mareel
My name is Miss Erin Mareel. I grew up in St. Clair Shores. Although I did not attend public schools in this district, I had many friends and family that received Lake Shore Public School’s great education. My bachelor’s degree is from Siena Heights University in Adrian, Michigan. My most memorable and wonderful experiences thus far have been within the Lake Shore District, and I’m excited to be able to advance my teaching career with this new found family.
This is my fifth year within the Lake Shore Public School District. I first began as a District Substitute and mainly worked at Masonic. At that building I held a short-term position in kindergarten as well as helped in many kindergarten rooms there. Last year I taught first grade at Masonic Heights Elementary. Since my experience at Masonic, I had the pleasure of working with many students at Rodgers, especially kindergarteners. I now have an amazing opportunity to work with your children at Violet while guiding, encouraging and developing a love of learning together.
Teaching is a passion of mine. Along with educating young minds, a few things I like to do are draw, bowl and play games on Wii. I love nature (especially trees), the color blue, family, laughing and great conversations!
If you have any questions, concerns or any other matters I can assist with please don’t hesitate to send a note, e-mail, or a phone call. I will respond as quickly as possible.
